ABOUT US

In 1988 Pastor Francis Horner of the White River Presbyterian Church created the Auburn Respite Program in honor of his father, who had Alzheimer's.

We continue his legacy to this day. We are a nonprofit organization public charity licensed in the state of Washington.

We provide an adult day care service for seniors who require supervision due to health issues such as dementia, stroke, or other debilitating health conditions.

Most of our staff is volunteer. All the compassion and care given to our participants comes straight from the hearts of the volunteers.

What Clients Say

"I enrolled my husband in the Auburn Respite Program in 2018. My husband feels that he contributes to the group, that he’s not just a participant. He feels valued and supported. He doesn’t want to miss a session and that’s really lovely.

His condition has actually improved since he started. That can be for many reasons, but I believe he is benefitting from the care, stimulation and socialization the program provides.

He loves it! I love it!"
